Dear friends,
Tonight I'll be performing for my senior recital entitled, "Gratitude". It is a tribute to the music immortalized by Frank Sinatra and will feature my own original arrangements.
Before I left Berklee, I knew I wanted to lead a "theme-based" recital at school. The idea of performing a selections of standards that Sinatra made his own was immediately a top choice. I hold his music as a token of sentimental value from the many years of hearing it growing up around my grandparents.
I chose the title, "Gratitude" for my recital because I'm not only grateful for the influence Frank had on me as a vocalist, but for the knowledge and sense that Berklee awarded to me during the course of my studies these past few years. I am also so grateful to be sharing the stage with tremendously talented musicians from the school that I am honored to call my friends.
If you're in the area, I extend the invitation to hear the performance:
When: Tonight from 7:00-8:00PM
Where: 1140 Boylston Street, Boston, MA, 02115 -- Recital Hall 1W
If you're unable to attend, I'll be posting pictures and a video clip here later.
