My arrival to the airport last week was a breeze. The ticketing counter attendant offered me a standby position for an earlier flight out of Boston. Isn't it great when everything is falls into place?
JetBlue boasts their phrase "happy jetting". I think nowadays, people tend to look less upon the design and marketing of an airline, but how cheap the fare is and how quick you're able to arrive at the destination. Let's face it, a non-stop fare for under $50 is hard to come by. So, when we get on the plane, the airlines have to work hard to ensure a pleasant atmosphere.
Reasons why I loved flying JetBlue:
- Noticeable extension of leg room.
- Television monitors on the back of each seat. (For those who just can't sleep)
- Professional staff.
- Wide assortment of beverages and snacks.
- Lowest fares for my route.
Tips for saving on your next airline fare:
- Try seeking out smaller airports nearby your main one. Many offer shuttles for a small fee.
- Kayak.com --- Combines all the travel sites you normally use onto one easy to read chart.
- Sign up for a rewards program online. It's free and you can easily gain points towards fares.
- If you're able to, volunteer to jump on the later flight (especially, if you're really not in a hurry)
- Compromise with packing. Checking that extra bag is just another fee the airlines tack on.
